The Shell is a Green Burial product as no trees were felled to make it and it bio-degrades totally in the water. The beautifully detailed clamshell form is individually crafted by hand on an antique mould. It is hand-painted with water-soluble paints in gentle variegated shades of pearl and creamy white. The Shell water-soluble hand-made paper urn is made from non-toxic food-grade recycled paper. It is the ideal choice of urn for cremation ashes for an eco-friendly water burial.

The Shell will float on the surface of a deep body of water for several minutes, depending on the weather and water conditions. Then, it gently descends to the bottom of the lake or sea. It is suitable for Deep-Water Burial and is approved by the Royal Navy. The Shell is large enough to place the cremated remains of two people in the special water-soluble bag within. This water-soluble urn is allowed on most commercial airline flights.
