Each Gourd urn is a natural work of art. A unique creation which is enhanced by an interesting piece of driftwood and a cast bronze Memorial Medallion. Gourds grow in the deserts of the southwestern USA and local artisans craft these dry fruits into unique biodegradable urns.

The Gourd Urns are naturally beautiful and they make a lovely earthy last resting place for cremation ashes. A 25-gram cast bronze memorial pendant comes included and hangs from a leather thong. This has a beautiful representation of the "Tree of Life" on one side and the other can be engraved as desired. Each piece of driftwood is also unique, and, like the gourds themselves, shapes and sizes vary.

Ashes are inserted through the hole in the top of the gourd urn. A 7.6-cm diameter natural cork closes the opening securely. The urn can be carried as hand luggage on most commercial airlines. It will decompose over a period of time when buried in the ground.
